Why do you think the author chose to write a version of the story of Red Riding Hood?
In my opinion the author chose to write a story based on Red Riding Hood because of the message it gives to children is an important one. I like the way the author in this version chose to have several children working together to outsmart the wolf.
If you could change the ending of this story how would you make it different?
I would not have the wolf die at the end of the story. I would have the children capture the wolf in the basket. I would have had the children pull the wolf up in the tree and just leave him trapped there until he could be dealt with.
